A few years back I went to an exhibit, at a museum, called Art of the Motorcycle. One of the motorcycles belonged to Steve McQueen and I was completely mesmerized. I got chill bumps immediately and could feel his spirit there as I admired his Indian motorcycle. I kept thinking...I have to touch this...I have to touch this motorcycle. When the docent wasn't looking I reached up and touched the throttle. A few weeks back during our trip to the National Motorcycle Museum I rounded the corner and there was the motorcycle I had touched. Once again I felt his spirit there in the room. I'd like to give a little tribute here to Steve McQueen. He was an All American Rebel, a freebird, and he loved those fast machines!

Hell, I miss some of the 70's chase flicks...."white line fever" and all that.
YOU TOUCHED THE BIKE!!!! You outlaw! (Don't wash that finger...ever!)
That is a cool bike ... so minimalist, no creature comforts ... just man and machine
Loved all the Steve McQueen action films - even now I can see him in the "cooler" with his ball and glove - bump, bump, thwap... bump, bump, thwap.
Great tune too!
If you haven't seen "the Great Escape", you need to :)

That Indian is one of the last one he rode in Santa Paula.
My friend did an article about him right before he passed away and this Indian was the one he rode everyday to the Airport.
