I was talking to my folks this morning and my Dad, Greg Boom, was interviewed for a story about the Show and Shine Car show that happened Friday night in Waterloo, IA. First they show his Pontiac and then they interview him. Coolness Dad! The first guy they interview is my sister's father-in-law, Jim Ketels. Anyway...the link below opens the KWWL TV player and shows the video but for some reason it makes my internet window say invalid web address or something. I had to share it though because my dad looks cool! :)

That's pretty cool!
I love the classic cars! I went to quite a few car shows with my uncle when I was younger. He owns several Chevy's from the 30's and 50's.
I grew up going to car shows! They were a blast! I have fond memories of taking each car that my folks owned to the shows...1930 DeSoto...1960 Thunderbird...and my all time favorite the 1968 Camaro Convertible! My folks still go every year to the Back to the 50's Car show in St. Paul and take their latest beauty...the Pontiac.
Love old cars. Your pops looks like a nice guy! I'd give my left one for a 76 Ponitac Firebird done up exactly like the Bandit in Smokey and the Bandit, or a jet black 57 Chevy jacked in the back with big fat meats and a scorching classic flame job!! Sweet. Thanks for sharing.
My congrats to your Dad, very nic elooking Pontiac.
-Peace
That's awesome! He looked good like you said. How cool is that huh? Wow...wish my dad had been on tv, even if it was only for a minute or so.
If I wasn't a biker, I'd have me a classic in the driveway right now instead of a Springer. Can't afford to have both :(
Masterchief: I had a '78, gold Screamin' Chicken, hood scoop with T/A 6.6 Litre on it, the whole shebang - except for t-tops. Since they all leaked, I didn't mind so much though. God I miss that car!
That's so cool, Steph! I love that your Dad was on TV!!
I grew up going to car shows with my Dad. He had a 1930 Ford Model A with a rumble seat, and a '66 Ford Convertible that was awesome!
word verification: boxyellen...WTF?!
I thought the Bandit was a 77. That was cool that your old man was on T.V. Fun stuff. There are lots of car shows and cruise ins down here all summer long.

How nice! Your Dad is still quite the handsome man! Your mom is very lucky! ;)
I think it's cool you got to share that with us.
Your Dad's a cool Dude...Loved that Pontiac and you're a chip off the old Block...
I always loved those classic cars myself...especially some old European models like the Citroen and the Fiat 500
great post!!! great video!!! oooooh so much fun. looks like a great car show. i come from a gear head family too. my folks made extra money restoring Euro sport cars to afford their house. ive had lots of cars myself (firebird, bel air, charger) and miss them all, but mostly i miss my 71 El Camino with M22 rockcrusher. ya know..i could use another, i need some kinda truck, what if the bike ever breaks down... ;)
