My First Ride of 2009

Usually we're able to take the bike out a couple times during the winter but if I remember correctly that only happened once this winter and I wasn't along for the ride. Today was beautiful...about 60. If you can believe it, I had to wait for Dan. Too funny...a chick waiting for a guy to get ready! LOL Anyway...I better not make too much fun of him because he did take me on an extra extended ride today! I felt all of the winter yuck dropping off of me as we made our way toward Saylorville and the mile long bridge. It felt so good breathing in the crisp air of pre-spring. There were a lot of bikes out today. The biker wave came natural as we'd pass each other. Everyone smiling and everyone coming back to life again. I'm so excited for this motorcycle season. It's going to be adventure packed this year...I can feel it! Hope to see you on the road!!

That is GREAT news!!! Hopefully Mother Nature is finished causing trouble for all the bikers in Iowa. I wonder what she has against bikers?

I can't wait for that kind of weather. It's coming soon. We got up to 56 the other day, but roads around here still salty and wet in many areas.

Nothing quite like the first ride of the season. I bet you were tingling the whole time. Great news. I'm looking out my window now at teeny tiny little snow piles dotting the ground here and there. They ought to be gone in a few more days. Mid-week is supposed to maybe hit 60. You know I'll be out!

I'm glad you were finally able to enjoy some time on two again! I hate it for you, to have to wait for the warm weather to come back. But, hopefully you'll be on the road again in no time. Spring is just around the corner.

I'm ready to read about some of your rides again!

Sounds like trouble to me. So be it!

Yeah, we got out last weekend. It could have been sunnier, but it was warm! Anyone in the area who wasn't out riding that weekend should have their license revoked! LOL Anyway, as RC put it "my waving arm was getting tired!"

Oh I forget how horrible it is to have to wait for riding season, I live in nevada now so I can ride year round.
But I used to live in chicago for 4 years and got to ride barely 3-1/2 months a year lol.

Dan scraped me off the winter ground too. Well, I rode a bit in January and February too, but not nearly as far, not nearly as good-o-weather, and not nearly as enjoyable as a couple days ago. It was good to get on the seat.
