Ok Kids...we made our reservations in Rapid City for next years rally. If you are interested in staying in a hotel about 25 miles from Sturgis give the Motel 6 a call. It's not a luxury hotel by any means but it was the cheapest place we could find. The phone number is 605.343.3687. Call during the day and speak to the manager.
I love it - nothing like planning ahead! I'm going to see about this next week myself. I'm so there!!!
Steph, you totally rock! I hope we're able to go next year! I'd love to meet you!
It would be awesome if we could get all the bloggers together at Sturgis next year!
Joker...I'm a planner...no actually I'm not a planner...I'm a fly by the seat of my pants gal...moment to moment...that's me...yeah...that's me.
Ann...You rock too girl! I totally want to meet you and Big D and everyone else in our blogger family. I know we'd have some pretty freaking awesome stories to tell the world once we got back home and in front of our computers.
The Motel 6 is the same place we stayed this year. It's a shower and a bed. Nothing else special besides a place to do laundry so if you want a 4 star hotel this is not the place for you. I've stayed at the Chip and I would not recommend the place only because it's so not clean but it's definately the party campground. I've heard good things about Glencoe and a campground outside of Hill City. Just some thoughts for those who I hope make the trip so we can all meet!!! :)
Thanks for the info Stephanie. Dave wants to do the camping thing, which I don't mind, but a bed would be nice for at least one night. We are definately going to try to make it.
We will just stay with you!
Thank you for this! The one reason I couldn't go this year cause I didn't have a room. I will be calling too!
B.B.- there are some really good camp grounds and the prices are good. The Full Throttle Saloon has cabins which looked pretty cool.
Rick - ha ha...funny! :)~
KT - it's seriously not the greatest but when are you even there except to sleep???
moment to moment type of gal. sounds like pretty woman
Im with you Steph, it isnt are we going, its when are we leaving. Next year will be 18 years. Still just as excited as the first time. Glencoe and Lanfier are both good camps. Lanfier is cheaper and I believe you can pay by the night, or you used to. dan
It's in the works. It's going to be a long year for sure.
Dan - thanks for the tips on the campgrounds. Wow...18 yrs...I'm sure there is a new adverture each year though. And I hear you on being excited. I can't wait!!! :)
flhx_dave - Glad you and B.B. are planning on making the trip. Maybe we can plan a blogger ride out to Devil's Tower and then head back to Sturgis for a party! It will be a long year for sure but it will be well worth the wait!
