Shuttin Detroit Down - John Rich

On my way to work this morning I was cruising through the radio stations on my car radio(an American Made Car) and I got to one that is a local country station. They were talking to John Rich from Big and Rich and they played his new song, Shuttin Detroit Down. I got tears in my eyes because it's totally how I feel. This song is so completely AWESOME! Thank you John Rich for writing a song that totally reflects what I think about what's going on with our United States. We will eventually get out of this whole mess. I don't know when but we will. Keep the Faith everyone! Keep the Faith!

Stephanie thanks for sharing this with us. It's amazing how a Country Music Artist can understand what is happening and those elected bobble heads just don't get it.

Stephanie you should've been a DJ. You have a nack for great tunes. I enjoyed that.

On another note, talked to Wendy tonight. Her brother screwed Sturgis up for her with his wedding. I still want to go, but now I have to see who else there is to ride with. I'll get there one way or the other, but this really screws things up! Don't ya just love it when other people change your plans??

Well Margo you need to look deeper than Bush. It all started with the first Bush and Clinton up it and the second Bush ignored it.

Great song by the way. More people need to stand up and say what they think.

Not many businesses out there can suffer a 40% drop in business and survive. It's happening to the foriegn makers as well. And now that Honda is losing motorcycle sales they have moved all production back to Japan, good bye American workers.

Margo, It was Clinton that signed into law what caused the houseing fall. Bush should have changed it but Bill caused it.And from there the domino affect. Thanks Bright eyes. I know all about shutting Motown down. Live 75 miles north. Our town once had 84,000 GM related jobs here. Less than 8,000 now. They are just now finishing bulldozing the last of the origanal AC complex about one mile square. The Buick complex was almost 2 miles long. There may be a couple of city blocks left. Got to thank Mr. Rich also. Stephanie I'll bet you CAN imagine the tears that have fallin in the once great state of Michigan. Divorce, suicide, bankuped people. The small shops affected and no longer here. And the bastured in the jet as not a clue. I fear as with the lie about the lobbiest so will it be with the bonuses. Well thanks again Stephanie. Love your blog.

I love this song. It describes exactly how I feel about what is going on in America right now. Margo, this problem goes much, much, much deeper than bush. If you think bush caused this mess all on his own you need to get your facts straight. Unfortunately, I am not optimistic about our nations future with obama and all the other libs in the senate and congress running this country. All that I see happening now with these bailouts is a rapidly growing national debt and our country being one step closer to socialism, with our country now owning large portions of CITI and AIG. One off the big reasons I like this song so much is that it expresses how discusted I am with leaders in Washington bailing out the rich, greedy people who put us in this mess in the first place. This money will never come back to us. This is a phenominal song with a great message behind it and to that I say thankyou John Rich for writing it, much of rural America and all of the average Joes getting the low end of the stick from this mess are touched by this song and glad it was written. Maybe our nations leaders should listen to it and get their act together!!!
