IowaHarleyGirl and the New Year!

As many of you know that follow my blog I had a little bump in the road toward the end of the year. I would like to thank each and every person that prayed for me, sent me spiritual thoughts, and sent me e-mails and comments. With your positive support you helped keep my spirits high and I was able to keep on keeping on. I went to the Doctor yesterday and the outcome was very positive. My blood counts are better then when I first entered the hospital and the Doctor did not order another bone marrow biopsy because of this. He doesn't even need to see me again until March! YAY! I would say that I kicked "Hairy Cells" ass! I have to say this has been a scary time for me. You never think that anything like this will ever happen to you. You take things for granted. Because of this experience I will be forever changed. It's kind of sad that it has taken this to change me but I thank God that I was given the opportunity to continue on my road of life.

I look forward to a very exciting 2010! It's going to be a good year...I can feel it!

Live like there is no tomorrow!!!

I love you all! IHG! :)

You kicked "Hairy Cell's" ass to the friggin floor and stomped it good with your riding boots.

Hope you and your hubby enjoy the new year. If all goes well, maybe we could meet up for a beer in April.

I’m so glad you had a positive outcome. You kicked its ass because you’re a kick ass chick. Now you can kick back, relax and live life at FULL THROTTLE!

Hi Stephanie~ What incredible news! Thanks for the update and congrats on kicking "Hairy Cells" ass...Hairy should think twice before messing with an Iowa Gal, and an Iowa Gal who rides a bike!
Life doles out these challenges for various reasons and sometimes we may never know the "why's", but I can assure you of this, you said "you have changed", but you have changed other people along your journey because you had the courage to share your story.

Really glad to hear this news Stephanie, PLEASE keep up the positive mental attitude because that is the way we defeat these intruders to our normal healthy bodies. I look forward to meeting you at Sturgis 2011.

Spring will be here before you know it, and I know you can't wait for that first ride of the season. Something tells me it will be most rewarding! Way to kick butt sista!

Wonerful news it is. We do take things for granted. And when a bump comes along it is the strong like yourself who see this and change. I had to change and it has been for the best. You beat it girl. God is good.

Positive thought goes a long way. Man, "hairy cells" just sounds pretty wicked. Well, I am thrilled that things are working out better! This is awesome news!

I'm gonna start working on a razor of some sort to give those cells a baby butt smoothing. Screw that shit...you keep on. Live for every moment.

Wonderfull news Steph. Its your attitude and spirit that beat it. I have an idea how you feel. I wound up with cancer of larynx four years ago. A lot of things are not as important as before. Friendships mean a lot more. Thank God for bringing us through this. Hopefully sometime this comminig year I will have the opportunity to congratulate you in person. dan

Glad to hear that the prayers made it through to the right department.

Yes it's sad that sometimes it takes a tragedy in order for us to see more clearly. But with your positive attitude and always looking for the silver linings, anything is possible my friend!

God bless!

Sorry to be so late here Steph...but I'm glad you at least got my well-wishes on FB. Never hurts to leave extra though, and your friend here in Mass is really, really glad you kicked some hairy ass! Makes me wonder why I sweat so much of the small stuff, something I'm trying to get away from. My best wishes for 2010 being "your" year...for a lot of things.

Take care of yourself kid....
