Bottoms Up Bike Fest - Looking for a New Location in Minnesota

Bottoms Up Bike Fest will no longer be held at the Dakota County Fairgrounds. The Dakota County Fairgrounds board agreed to new regulations that will affect all events held on the property, such as “no liquor sales after 9:30 p.m. and events must end at 10:30 p.m.”

If we do not find a replacement location within the next month or two, Bottoms Up Bike Fest will be unable to continue. If you know of a possible location, please contact us ASAP.

We enjoy putting on this event, meeting great people, the bikes, the music, and hearing your feedback on the great time you had at Bottoms Up Bike Fest. Hopefully we’ll be able to find a new location and continue to put on this event.

Visit the Bottoms Up website @ http://www.bottomsupbikefest.com/home

If you have an idea for a new location in Minnesota contact Minnesota Jeff @ info@bottomsupbikefest.com.

I've been through Minnesota and my impression is they don't need to roll the sidewalks up early.

I stopped for gas in St. Charles and it was like being in an episode of The Twilight Zone - we were outside at a fuel island in the "middle" of town - and there was near dead silence all around us. I'm not kidding either...there was next to ZERO ambient noise. I could hear myself breathing and I remember an eerie feeling of having ridden into one of those little towns you see in a movie that's been taken over by aliens or something. That wasn't the case of course; it was just a quiet little mid-western town. But still...

The folks in Dakota County need to lighten up a bit I think. No drinking after 9:30? That's bordering on communism! Not to mention in this economy local businesses need dough from any and all sources - including bikers. Next time I go through there I'd like to show them my bottom....UP!

Unfortunately, we're going to see a lot more of this in the future.

More and more towns are passing goofy laws in order to keep the bike rallies away. I saw it happen a few years ago to the Smokeout down south. I saw it last year in Illinois with the Wild Horse Rally. It happened this year in Myrtle Beach. Apparently the Bottoms Up is no exception.
