Jasmine, Sasha, and Some Other Stuff...

The Jasmine Cain Band will be in Omaha, NE on November 8th at the Chrome Lounge. They are rocking the house from 9 pm - 1 am. Hmmmmm...wonder if I'm going?

Sasha Mullins' new book, The Chrome Cowgirl Guide to the Motorcycle Life, is finally out. I picked up my copy at Barnes and Noble the other day. It's an awesome looking book. Sasha and Tigerlily grace it's cover. Why the Sturgis committee thought she wouldn't be a good pick to represent the rally still leaves me scratching my head. Anywhoo...this is another amazing book by Sasha. She is a true Chrome Cowgirl and has once again laid her soul out on the table for her readers. When I entered B & N I thought my hopes would be dashed and they wouldn't have a copy but the super nice customer service man found that they had a copy and took me right to the motorcycle section...found the book and put it into my hot little hands. I feel a true connection with Sasha because of her spiritual connection with motorcycling and the way she looks at life so I have to admit I got chill bumps and was excited like a kid on Christmas Day. There are photos, diary entries, trip tips, and Sasha's super advice on how to make the motorcycle life a total part of your soul. This book is for every woman who is thinking of riding, rides as a passenger, or rides her own.(guys, you can read it too)

Don't forget to vote on November 4th! Wish the Marine Corp a Happy Birthday on the 10th! And THANK a Veteran on November 11th!

A thought I've been pondering...If you are a panhandler and you show up on the corner every day at 7 am with your sign are you trying to show that you have good work ethic?

Don't forget to turn back your clocks, unless you live in Arizona...I don't think you folks do the daylight savings time bit.

And last but not least...for all of us people who will soon have the awful "S" word showing up in our state. GET OUT THERE WHEN YOU CAN AND RIDE!!!

Have a great weekend!!!!

I love the thought you've been pondering. That is really funny, and if they can do than, why not hold a real job?

Oh I know... Because there are too many stupid suckers out there that give them enough cash each year that some of them can make $30k and upwards annually doing virtually nothing!

Wanna know how I really feel?

I rode today - Yeah!!! Let us know how the book is when you finish it. Snows coming and reading when I cant be riding is always a better thing than watching the tube. I early voted, Happy B'Day to the Corp, and I will thank a veteran on the 11th. Ride Safe

Whats up! Thanks for the reminder to set the clocks back! I have been able to ride quite a bit recently. Planning to ride to Indianapolis for breakfast on Sunday!

Hey, it's November and I'm still out riding! The wicked "S" doesn't scare me! Went riding this morning and will again this evening.

I can't believe that you would even bring up the "S" thing! I'm trying not to think of it. Temps will be in the 70's here this week so I'll be taking advantage of probably the last great weather this year.

I'm still in denial that summer is over, let alone that winter is almost here!

Thanks for the mini review of Sasha's book. I was wondering how it was.

I got Sasha's book too. It's cute and up to the way she writes. I always love her outlook on riding and life in general. Its a free spirited type I love too. Thanks for mentioning it. She has a line of clothing coming out too. Excited to see that too.

Snow is a 4 letter word, Steph...I'm sorry for you. :)

No, we don't change our clocks in AZ, and it doesn't snow here in the Valley of the Sun. You should come visit in the winter so you can ride! :)

I voted - for all the good it did.

Setting the clocks back was great because I was out at the bar Saturday night and had a ride early Sunday morning. The free extra hour of sleep was key! What sucked was seeing the sun diving at 4 in the afternoon!

Yeah, it's coming alright. My yard's a mess of leaves and pine needles. Our Chapter Christmas Party is now only a month away. I only have a few rides left before winter storage time, and I'm going to enjoy them like a last kiss with a forbidden love. Getting a new bike at the end of the season is tough!

It's gonna be a l-o-n-g winter!
